2020 has been one hellova year and for the second time this year, our amazing anonymous neighbors decided to share their holiday spirit. These big-hearted characters have been making appearances around our community evenings and weekends and will continue throughout much of December.
Many neighbors offered to make donations to The Villains, so the crew decided to turn it into a way to help some struggling neighbors. Anyone who is/know someone who is struggling this year and whose kids may not have the Christmas they deserve can be submitted for nomination. And what better way to raise donations than to hold an open photoshoot opportunity with the crew. On December 5th and 13th, the characters in junction with MBH Photography, held a staged scene photoshoot in the Meridian Neighborhood Amenities Center. The crew asked for a $20 donation in return for 3 professional photos. The number of families they were able to buy gifts for depending on the amount raised and they exceeded their goal of $5k. 183 families came out over the course of the two days to have photos taken and make donations. All photos were sent to the families by close of business Friday 12/18.
Please see our photos below from the fundraiser and our photoshoot guest-starring three of Berkley County Sheriff's Office's finest! A huge thank you to Corporal Whetstone, Corporal Haag, and Corporal Green! You can see some of the behind the scene footage here: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Am-Mmlkgjr15mqpe7FGhH_GO5VPHBg?e=zLP8nE
ALL donations went to purchase gifts for the vetted families totaling 41 children.

Five of our amazing anonymous neighbors decided to have a little extra Halloween fun. Michael Myers, Freddy Kruger, Pennywise, Jason Vorhees, and Chucky have been making appearances all around our community. This infamous group allowed me to tag along and see the chaos, fun, and mischief these villains have been causing.
Whether they are out making friends, following their dreams, hitching rides, hanging around campfires and telling scary stories, rocking out in their garage band, having a swinging time, visiting the barbershop for a trim or shave, or going for a nice canoe ride on the crystal lake, this powerhouse quintet have all the scares, all the feels, and all the fun!
Please find the photos below from our photoshoot, Mischief Night, and the Halloween Freaks Show.
Photographers around the world have been offering Porch Portraits. This is a socially distant responsible form of photography as the photographs are taken on the families porches from 10+ feet away. Some photographers ask families to create & hold inspirational quotes while others are doing it for the smiles. MBH Photography has put their spin on it and asked for donations to bring dinner to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. Over the course of the week long campaign, MBH Photography was able to raise over $700 and with the support of Rio Chico Mexican Restaurant, Famularis Pizzeria and Publix Deli, delivered over 90 meals to the sheriff's office. Below are some of the porch portraits!
SURPRISE!
After we finalized the donations from the Porch Portraits we were very grateful to find that we far surpassed our goal by more than $300! MBH Photography decided to spend the remaining donations to bring dinner to the nurses of the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit of the Roper Saint Francis Hospital on State Road in Summerville. Photos from both dinner delivers are below.
Thank you for helping us put smiles on so many faces!!
